Literally the OG Silverlake Ramen... I was hoping it'd be bigger... it took a while to get seated. The ramen is top notch and I couldn't recommend their pork buns enough!
I was in the area and knew there were several popular spots in this area, but most were not open during this time at 4:00 pm. I was a tad hungry and decided to pick up snacks like karaage chicken, pork bun and shrimp tempura cut roll. Parking was valet only, and it said no parking to pick up food which I needed to do. I spoke to the valet guy and he let me park in front of the two cars near silverlake ramen, which was nice. I was greeted right away and I placed my order and paid. The place is small and had few people dining with ramen. While I had to move my car so that the first parked car could leave, my order was out within 10 or so mins., the server brought it out to my car, that was very nice and saved time. Everything came out delicious in flavor and presentation. I'd like to come back to try out their popular ramen; afterall, that's what they're known for. Thanks Silverlake Ramen for the great service and making tasty foods!! I'll be back when I'm in town.
Now this is what I like my ramen to be, great flavor and just the right amount of spice to get your nose running. The place is on the smaller side, so reservations are a must, there is out door seating but depending on the weather you may just want to wait to sit inside. If you're in the area and in the mood for some Ramen, check them out.
First thing on landing in LA which is quite cold compared to the crib (Miami), I wanted some nice and warm ramen. Silverlake didn't disappoint. They have a nice check-in reservation system that goes smoothly. The spicy tonkatsu (and regular) was so damn good. Creamy broth. The literal most perfect pork I have ever had in ramen. Getting it with the combo which comes with a side is a nice add-on. Def recommend
